What a great fellowship and fall spruce-up event. A large group of church members met after church for a short lunch and then jumped headlong into cleaning out several rooms and areas of the church. The youth discovered stuff in their storage room that they had forgotten about years ago. The Methodist Women did a great job of cleaning out the kitchen and getting rid of a lot of unnecessary items and the like. The vestibule room was organized without getting rid of much, however the reorganization and labeling will make things easier to find in the future. The Methodist Men took on the front of the church which was pressure washed to clean mildew off the concrete steps, walkways and the building itself. The men also took on the landscaping which was trimmed and fall flowers (a generous donation) put in the flower beds. The lawn in the back of the church was mowed and trash from the highway picked up. All-in-all, we organized a lot of the rooms in the church (got stuff back to the right places) and got rid of a lot of clutter and stuff that had long outlived its usefulness. Everyone enjoyed their work and there was a lot of fellowship. Folks are even looking forward to our next workday. Thank you to all who supported this effort. See you next time
