Come worship with us on Sunday morning!
Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages. We are never too old or too young to learn more about the Word of God!
This Sunday: .
Worship Service begins at 10:45 a.m. Hear God's message in the sermon ... sing songs of praise...pray. Join together in fellowship as we seek to follow Christ's teachings.
We love to sing and make melody to the Lord at St. John's. Our chancel choir and a bell choir are an integral part of our worship. So whether you like to sit back and listen or make a joyful noise, you will feel right at home. If you have a talent for singing or playing an instrument and would like to share your gift with us, just let us know!

We, as St. John's United Methodist Church, covenant within the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church to commit ourselves as individuals and as a church to work diligently, faithfully and boldly as evangelists for Jesus Christ. We will proclaim the good news of the gospel and invite those who are disillusioned, broken, hopeless, hungry, and lost to experience Jesus in our midst. In the name of Jesus Christ, we commit our church to have open doors, open minds, and open hearts.
Welcome and Announcements
* Passing the Peace of Christ
Prayer of Illumination:
Author of grace and our Eternal Guide: As we make our pilgrimage through this life, shed your light upon your way, lest we slip or go astray. Speak to us in the recorded witness of synagogue and church that through the Spirit’s interpretation of the Scriptures we may find direction and strength; through Christ Jesus, the Shepherd of our souls. Amen.

* Call To Worship (L: Leader; P: People)
L: The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
P: And also with you.
L: Let us test and examine our ways, and return to the Lord!
P: God has blessed us; let all the ends of the earth fear him!
L: Seek the Lord while he may be found, call upon him while he is near; le the wicked forsake their way, and the unrighteous their thoughts; let them return to the Lord.
P: The sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.

"Take My Life, and Let It Be"
Opening Prayer
Almighty and everlasting God, in whom we live and move and have our being, you created us for yourself, so that our hearts are restless until they find rest in you. Grant to us piety of heart and strength of purpose that no selfish passion may hinder us from knowing your will, and no weakness from doing it. In your light may we see life clearly and in your service find perfect freedom; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
